Our @scottmerkin caught up with @emmaxxrodriguez, the White Sox fan who went viral after catching Jake Rogers' walk-off Via @Feinsand on X

What happened: Emma Rodriguez recovered the ball after it landed in the Rate Field stands and her purse emptied during the celebration. The 24-year-old later asked Rogers to sign it, prompting talks about returning the keepsake in exchange for team merchandise or tickets.

Why it matters: The homer was Jake Rogers' first major-league walk-off hit and the White Sox's 10th walk-off of 2026. Chicago held a 4½-game AL Central lead with 34 games remaining after the win.

By the numbers: Rogers' drive traveled an estimated 401 feet with two outs in the ninth. Chicago erased a 4-0 deficit with three consecutive sixth-inning homers before winning 6-4.

What to watch: Rodriguez is expected back for Sunday's series finale as discussions over the ball continue.
