What happened: Houston will host Buffalo at 1 p.m. ET, with CBS and Paramount+ carrying the game and NFL+ providing streaming. Anderson enters the season after signing a contract extension in April.

Why it matters: Anderson's third-down pressure gives Buffalo's protection an immediate opening-week test. Houston held the Bills to 19 points in their previous meeting.

By the numbers: Anderson finished 2025 with 12 sacks, 54 tackles and three forced fumbles. His 85 pressures included 48 on third down, the NFL's highest single-season total since tracking began in 2014.

What to watch: Opening-week availability reports and Buffalo's protection plan will sharpen the matchup before Sept. 13.
