What happened: PFF lists Will Lee III with four pass breakups, twice the total of the three-way tie for second. Chris Johnson and Davison Igbinosun are in that group at two apiece, while nine other rookies sit on one.

Why it matters: Pass breakups are one of the earliest indicators that a rookie defensive back is getting to the catch point on time. Lee's margin matters because most of the class is still clustered tightly behind him, and Johnson's and Igbinosun's placement keeps two recent top-62 picks in the early production conversation.

By the numbers: By the numbers: the four-player group at the top accounts for 10 PBUs, only one more than the nine-player tie at one. Lee owns 40% of that top-group total by himself.

What to watch: The next few weeks will show whether Lee can keep widening the gap once opponents adjust their target map. Johnson and Igbinosun can close it quickly if the two-PBU tier keeps cashing in on its next chances.
