What happened: William Contreras is emerging as a superstar for the Milwaukee Brewers through his fierce play this October. His poise in the batting order and behind the dish has steadied the club throughout the postseason.

Why it matters: Production from the catching position gives Milwaukee a reliable middle-of-the-order presence in high-leverage playoff moments. That intensity builds on the edge Contreras brought to the Brewers during their postseason bullpen run and his earlier October power.

What to watch: Milwaukee's scheduled postseason matchup has not started yet, with the score at 0-0 as the Brewers look to their catcher to keep driving the offense.
