What happened: Brandon Woodruff faced hitters in live at-bats with his roster status under review. The session was staged as a performance checkpoint ahead of a roster call.

Why it matters: Woodruff previously landed on the injured list with an inflamed labrum in July after his shoulder outlook was described as not good. Postseason pitching depth hinges on whether his arm can handle full at-bats.

What to watch: A final roster determination is expected before the next postseason game.
