What happened: The Yankees spotlighted right-hander Cam Schlittler in a #RepBX post, riffing on a Statue of Liberty theme to cast him as a Bronx fan favorite. The message continues the club's recent run of identity-driven social pushes built around individual players.

Why it matters: The promotion lands on the heels of a standout outing from Schlittler, giving the Yankees a young arm to build fan engagement around during the 2026 regular season. Rallying support behind an emerging starter helps the club deepen its Bronx identity as the schedule wears on.

What to watch: Watch whether Schlittler holds a rotation role and whether the Yankees keep leaning on player-centered branding to drive fan voting and engagement.
