What happened: The 49ers' injury picture stayed mixed, with John Lynch saying on KNBR that Trent Williams is expected back at practice after a stinger. Lynch also said Mike Evans was still TBD.

Why it matters: The update matters for a 49ers team already juggling wideout injuries after a 3-0 start. Any return on the offensive line would ease the strain on a roster that has been patching around injuries on both sides of the ball.

By the numbers: San Francisco entered the week 3-0. Mike Evans was officially listed questionable as of Sept. 29, and he posted 30 catches for 368 yards and three touchdowns in eight games in 2025.

What to watch: The next practice report will show whether Trent Williams is fully back and whether Mike Evans moves off TBD. San Francisco's inactive list should reveal how much of the injury crunch is actually easing.
