49ers rule out Bosa, Evans and Samuel for Week 7 at Atlanta

What happened: Kyle Shanahan ruled out wide receivers Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) and Mike Evans (Achilles) and defensive lineman Nick Bosa after Friday's practice. Linebackers Garret Wallow and Luke Gifford and safety Marques Sigle will also sit, which leaves San Francisco with fewer than 48 available players for Sunday.

Why it matters: The 49ers go into Atlanta without their top two receivers and their lead pass rusher, with an unbeaten record on the line. It is another missed game for Bosa, who was also ruled out for the trip to Seattle earlier this month. Shanahan said backups may have to play roles they don't usually play: "You're always a few injuries away from those situations and now it comes down to a couple. So, percentages go up.

By the numbers: 49ers: 6-0. Falcons: 2-4, two straight losses, most recently 31-23 to the Bears on Oct. 18. Samuel in 2025 with the Commanders: 72 catches, 727 yards, 5 TDs in 16 games. Sigle in 2025: 52 tackles in 15 games. Gifford in 2025: 35 tackles in 17 games.

What to watch: Several other 49ers are listed questionable going into Sunday's kickoff in Atlanta. Watch which receivers pick up the snaps left by Samuel and Evans.
