What happened: John Lynch said the organization will focus on players who are present and wished Aiyuk well. The wide receiver remains outside San Francisco's active training camp group.

Why it matters: Lynch invited trade calls after the draft, but Aiyuk's 49ers future remained unresolved through June. His continued absence gives the offense less certainty at wide receiver entering the 2026 season.

What to watch: Watch whether Aiyuk seeks reinstatement during camp, prompting San Francisco to address his roster status.
