The #49ers are adding to their offensive line, sources say, as they are trading for #Texans interior OL Jarrett Patterso Via @RapSheet on X

What happened: Patterson joins San Francisco as a center/guard after four seasons with Houston. The move fills an interior-line need the 49ers had targeted during the preseason.

Why it matters: His position flexibility gives San Francisco another option at center and guard. The added depth arrives before the 2026 regular season.

By the numbers: Patterson is listed at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds. He appeared in 39 regular-season games for Houston from 2023 through 2025.

What to watch: Patterson’s role will come into focus as San Francisco sets its Week 1 offensive line and active roster.
