What happened: Akayleb Evans is preparing for a larger role Sunday night, drawing on his 2023 experience and help from Mike Jackson. With Jackson officially listed questionable, Evans is in line to absorb snaps if needed.

Why it matters: A change in the secondary would push Evans from depth option to live game-day duty on short notice. That raises the importance of communication and coverage consistency in a standalone Sunday night setting.

What to watch: The next marker is the weekend inactive list. That will show whether Evans is headed for a rotational role or a heavier workload Sunday night.
