What happened: Alex Singleton moved to No. 1 on the league tackles leaderboard during the 2026 regular season. He totaled 135 tackles and one sack across 16 games in 2025.

Why it matters: Tackles leaders set the standard for defensive workload as the season wears on. Staying atop the board through October separates every-down starters from rotation pieces.

What to watch: The next slate of games will show whether Singleton holds the lead.
