What happened: Active on Sunday after entering the weekend questionable with a back issue, Kamara delivered the breakaway score after also missing time earlier in the 2026 regular season with a knee injury. Selected 67th overall in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Tennessee, the veteran back recorded 131 rushes for 471 yards and one touchdown in 11 games during the 2025 campaign, per ESPN as of Sept. 29, 2026.

Why it matters: New Orleans committed to leaning on its ground attack entering Sunday with a 1-4 record. Explosive production from the backfield provides an immediate boost for an offense that navigated lineup availability questions leading into kickoff.

What to watch: Kamara's snap count and postgame recovery will be monitored closely as New Orleans progresses through the 2026 regular-season slate.
