What happened: Alvin Kamara participated in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session. The New Orleans Saints listed the running back as questionable with rest and back designations. His return marks a positive progression in his weekly preparation.

Why it matters: New Orleans parted ways with run game coordinator T.J. Paganetti during its bye week following a 16-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 25. Having Kamara available stabilizes the backfield as the offense recalibrates its ground attack.

What to watch: The Saints will issue their final game-status designations following Friday's practice.
