What happened: Luiz opened the scoring Thursday night with another finish in his recent run. The match was level again early in the second half.

Why it matters: The goal came one day after Luiz was named to MLS Team of the Matchday, extending a surge that had already forced league-wide attention. Another immediate contribution matters because it shows the burst did not cool after that recognition.

What to watch: Watch whether he can turn the early breakthrough into another multi-goal outing. With the match already back on level terms, the next decisive touch will determine how much the opener counts.
