What happened: X-rays confirmed the fracture after Pages initially exited with a left hand contusion. The injury occurred during a 5-4 extra-inning victory.

Why it matters: The timetable leaves a narrow window for Pages to return before October. His absence creates an immediate opening in center field.

By the numbers: Pages is batting .272/.338/.458 with 21 home runs, 80 RBI, 12 stolen bases, a 119 wRC+ and 4.0 WAR in 2026.

What to watch: Watch for the corresponding roster move and how center field is covered during his absence.
