Grateful & thankful 🤞 Angel Reese on what her support system means to her as she chases a title with the @AtlantaDr Via @WNBA on X

What happened: Angel Reese pointed to the backing of her close circle and teammates as she competes with the Atlanta Dream in the 2026 WNBA Finals. The forward who earned Player of the Game honors in September paced the lineup at both ends of the floor in front of the Atlanta home crowd.

Why it matters: Reese captured 2026 Defensive Player of the Year honors following her mid-year trade from Chicago and helped propel Atlanta to its first Finals berth since 2013. Her two-way consistency has positioned the franchise within reach of a championship less than a year after reshaping its frontcourt.

By the numbers: Reese recorded 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 three-pointers on 7-of-12 shooting in her latest home outing, building on a 2026 campaign that featured a 30-point performance in a 103-59 win over Connecticut.

What to watch: Atlanta continues the 2026 WNBA Finals sitting two victories away from the championship before front-office evaluations turn toward the 2027 season.
