What happened: Speaking on NFL on CBS, Terron Armstead singled out the Denver Broncos as the premier destination for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor: "I strongly feel like Denver Broncos would be the ideal fit for him." The endorsement arrives as Indianapolis navigates a broader roster shakeup following trades of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner alongside a trade request from wide receiver Josh Downs.

Why it matters: Although Denver has evaluated a move for Taylor while riding a three-game winning streak to a 5-2 record and the No. 5 seed after beating Arizona 30-16 on Oct. 25, financial constraints remain a major hurdle. Acquiring the 27-year-old back requires taking on an extension that carries $34 million owed across the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

By the numbers: Per ESPN, Taylor rushed 323 times for 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns across 17 games with the Colts in 2025 after Indianapolis drafted him 41st overall out of Wisconsin in 2020.

What to watch: Front offices have until the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline to complete any deal with Indianapolis.
