What happened: AROD said Jacob Misiorowski can call for a fastball and still miss bats, framing the Brewers right-hander around the confidence usually tied to late-inning arms. That spotlight follows Misiorowski's return to Milwaukee's rotation and his assignment to open the club's postseason.

Why it matters: Milwaukee enters October leaning on Misiorowski as both a frontline starter and a potential relief option. That kind of flexibility matters for a Brewers club opening the NLDS after a first-round bye.

What to watch: Milwaukee's next test comes against San Diego at American Family Field. How the Brewers deploy Misiorowski after the opener will show how seriously they are weighing a move into leverage innings.
