What happened: The pairing arrived Oct. 21 with the World Series set to produce a first-time champion. The airplane celebration had just resurfaced in ALCS Game 6 when Caminero pointed toward Arozarena after homering off the foul pole.

Why it matters: It connects a familiar October ritual to a team playing for its first title. Shared gestures carry weight in late October because they link past clubs to the current roster push.

What to watch: Attention now turns to World Series Game 1 lineups and opening pitching plans.
