What happened: An Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) challenge resulted in a confirmed ball one call. The original ruling on the pitch location was upheld upon review.

Why it matters: Major League Baseball is utilizing the ABS challenge system to evaluate close pitches at the plate. The technology allows dugouts to dispute calls while attempting to preserve the traditional pace of the game.

What to watch: The league will continue monitoring the challenge system's accuracy and impact throughout the postseason.
