What happened: Barcelona is looking to fast-track the departure of midfielder Marc Casado after a potential move to a Ligue 1 club was ruled out. The 22-year-old is expected to leave the Camp Nou this summer as part of a squad overhaul under manager Hansi Flick.

Why it matters: Casado's role diminished significantly during the 2025-26 campaign, where he fell behind Gavi and Marc Bernal in the midfield rotation. The club has reportedly set a €25 million price tag for the La Masia graduate as they aim to generate funds for summer recruitment targets.

What to watch: The club will now pivot to other interested parties, with Saudi Pro League clubs and Real Betis previously linked to the midfielder.
