What happened: Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has issued a firm rejection of potential interest from Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez regarding Michael Olise. Speaking to BILD, Hainer stated that Pérez should "save himself the trouble" of bidding for the winger, emphasizing that Olise remains under a long-term contract in Munich.

Why it matters: Hainer's comments reinforce his previous assertions that Olise is not for sale following a stellar 2025-26 campaign. Olise was recently named Bundesliga Player of the Season after recording 48 goal contributions, cementing his status as a core pillar of the squad that Bayern intends to retain at all costs.

What to watch: While Real Madrid has not yet submitted a formal offer, the German champions' public stance suggests any pursuit will be met with immediate rejection. Olise is expected to remain a central figure in Bayern's 2026-27 plans.
