Why it matters: Veteran goalkeeper Neuer, Bayern's captain, offers key stability at age 40 amid talks of performance and succession planning. Extension would secure the position through next season's Bundesliga and Champions League pushes. Bayern's recent UCL progress underscores need for continuity in goal.
