What happened: Connor Bedard forced a turnover along the boards with a body check in the offensive zone. Roman Kantserov capitalized on the loose puck moments later, chipping it in to put Chicago on the board.

Why it matters: The scoring play extends a productive stretch for Kantserov, who recently took the NHL rookie goal scoring lead. Bedard's physical play to spark the sequence underscores Chicago's reliance on its young core to generate offense early in the regular season.

What to watch: Chicago continues its regular-season slate as Kantserov and Bedard look to maintain their chemistry on the top lines.
