Connor Bedard is set to make his NHL season debut tonight. “I have him in our lineup tonight,” coach Jeff Blashill said Via @TheAthletic on X

What happened: Coach Jeff Blashill said Tuesday he has Bedard in the lineup for tonight's game. Bedard was still skating Tuesday, with Blashill cautioning the plan can change before puck drop.

Why it matters: Chicago gets its captain back as the 2026-27 regular season opens. His return settles the lineup question that lingered into Tuesday morning.

What to watch: Pregame warmups will confirm whether Bedard stays in the lineup tonight.
