What happened: Ben Simmons recorded his first points for the Sacramento Kings during a preseason matchup against the Golden State Warriors. The basket marked his first time on the court in 529 days.

Why it matters: His return to game action represents a major hurdle cleared for the veteran, who recently rejected claims that he lost his love for the game. Sacramento is testing his physical readiness and rotational fit ahead of the upcoming campaign.

What to watch: Sacramento will likely manage his minutes carefully as he builds game conditioning.
