What happened: Sacramento contacted Milwaukee about guard Kevin Porter Jr. ahead of Monday's roster cut-down, per Jake Fischer. The inquiry follows Ben Simmons' season-ending Achilles tear in Sunday practice, which opened a point-guard vacancy.

Why it matters: The Kings enter the 2026-27 preseason short on ball-handling for opening week. A deal with the Bucks would settle the rotation before contracts lock.

What to watch: Monday's cut-down deadline determines whether Sacramento adds Porter or pivots to another guard option.
