What happened: Cincinnati's offseason swing was graded as the league's best move. The revamped defense through two weeks backed that billing with the top interior grade.

Why it matters: Contender status resets AFC expectations around Cincinnati in the 2026 regular season. Validation of the roster construction shifts the focus from rebuild to seeding and January matchups.

By the numbers: Leads interior linemen in grade through two weeks after Texans stand.

What to watch: Watch whether Cincinnati sustains that defensive form into Week 3. Continued line play will test the contender case.
