What happened: Bleacher Report published its October trade block big board headlined by Connor Hellebuyck, Dylan Larkin and Quinn Hughes. Larkin opens camp in Detroit without the captaincy, while Hellebuyck stays suspended after skipping camp with his trade request open.

Why it matters: Larkin expanded his approved list to seven teams, crowding one of the league's top center markets. Hellebuyck's continued absence plus emerging three-team talks leaves starting-goalie plans unsettled entering opening-night roster decisions.

What to watch: Watch whether any club finalizes movement before regular-season rosters lock.
