What happened: López was scratched Saturday after hurting his left knee during pregame warmups. Martín Pérez replaced him and worked 6 2/3 no-hit innings.

Why it matters: The injury removes a starter who helped stabilize Atlanta’s rotation after a bullpen stint. It also creates another rotation decision before Monday’s trade deadline.

What to watch: Atlanta’s Monday off allows for an aggressive bullpen plan Sunday. The next update on López’s knee will clarify the rotation’s longer-term needs.
