Happy Father's Day, #BravesCountry! https://t.co/CdUlV30a7f

What happened: The Atlanta Braves marked Father's Day with a message to Braves Country. The greeting landed as Atlanta prepares for a scheduled series finale against the San Diego Padres in San Diego.

Why it matters: Fan-facing holiday messages keep a club connected to its base during a long regular season. Atlanta enters the day at 48-27, holding one of the better records in the National League, with the Padres at 39-36 set to host the finale.

By the numbers: Atlanta has won two straight and is scoring 5.0 runs per game while allowing 3.6. San Diego sits at 39-36, scoring 3.9 and allowing 4.0, and carries a one-game win streak into the matchup.

What to watch: Attention turns to the scheduled finale in San Diego, where the Braves look to build on their recent form against the Padres.
