What happened: The Atlanta Braves are exploring ways to resolve the roster fallout from Jurickson Profar's suspension as the July 31 trade deadline approaches, according to Yahoo Sports. Profar has been sidelined since a 162-game PED suspension was upheld after his appeal was denied.

Why it matters: Clearing Profar's spot would give Atlanta more roster flexibility as it works separate trade-deadline pursuits of starter Joe Ryan and closer Mason Miller. Resolving his situation now would let the front office finalize 40-man and payroll moves before the deadline rather than carrying the suspension into August.

What to watch: Watch for Atlanta to make a formal roster move on Profar before July 31, alongside the outcome of its bids for Ryan and Miller.
