What happened: Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy addressed his recent comments regarding the New York Yankees, expressing regret over his phrasing following Milwaukee's World Series title. Murphy confirmed that he reached out directly to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman to clear the air after referring to New York with an expletive.

Why it matters: The outreach comes days after Murphy criticized the Yankees' team play following the conclusion of the Fall Classic. Murphy moved to diffuse tension between the franchises as both front offices begin reshaping their rosters for the upcoming year.

What to watch: Both clubs now turn their attention to free agency decisions and offseason roster moves ahead of the 2027 season.
