What happened: The Carolina Panthers released cornerback Robert Rochell on Tuesday. The move ends a brief tenure after Carolina added him to the roster on Oct. 13.

Why it matters: Carolina sits at 3-4 following consecutive defeats and continues to recalibrate its secondary depth. Rochell saw limited action across defense and special teams during his three appearances.

What to watch: The Panthers return to action in Week 9 aiming to halt a two-game slide.
