What happened: Surtain entered Sunday listed as questionable before being scratched prior to kickoff, per Ian Rapoport. He also missed Denver's previous two outings while recovering from the ankle issue.

Why it matters: Denver enters the matchup holding the No. 5 seed on a two-game winning streak despite playing shorthanded in the secondary. The unit held the Seattle Seahawks to 14 points in a victory on Oct. 15.

By the numbers: Denver Broncos: 4-2 record (No. 5 seed, W2), 17-14 win vs. Seattle on Oct. 15. Pat Surtain II: 3 straight games missed (ankle).

What to watch: Surtain has a strong chance to return to action next week, per Rapoport.
