What happened: Luke Raley is Seattle's nominee for this year's Heart and Hustle Award, with the overall winner decided by fan vote. The honor recognizes sustained effort on the field and leadership in the clubhouse.

Why it matters: The nomination puts Raley in the field for the league-wide honor awarded to one player across the game. Raley homered for Seattle in July while filling a utility role at first base and in the outfield.

What to watch: Watch for fan voting to close and the overall Heart and Hustle winner to be announced.
