What happened: The Denver Broncos signed wide receiver Hakeem Butler on Monday following his standout performance in the UFL. The 6-foot-5 pass-catcher spent the 2023 preseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers and recently led the UFL with 641 receiving yards for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

Why it matters: Butler provides significant size and red-zone potential to a Broncos receiving corps seeking depth behind newly acquired Jaylen Waddle. His return to the NFL comes after being named UFL Offensive Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons, underscoring his improved consistency and playmaking ability.

What to watch: Butler will compete for a roster spot during Broncos training camp as the team looks to finalize its offensive rotation for the 2026 season.
