What happened: David Mulugheta of Athletes First completed the agreement with Cleveland on Wednesday. The deal will be Grant Delpit's third NFL contract.

Why it matters: Delpit was entering the final season of his previous extension and approaching unrestricted free agency in 2027. Cleveland resolved that contract year before opening the 2026 season.

By the numbers: The $16 million average is $4 million, or 33.3%, above the $12 million average on his prior three-year deal. The $35 million guarantee exceeds that contract's $23.61 million guarantee by $11.39 million.
