What happened: Logue is listed at 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds. He enters his first official NFL season after appearing in games during each of the past two years.

Why it matters: The move gives Cleveland a reserve lineman with regular-season experience before Week 1. Sapp's release ends a one-week practice-squad stay that began Aug. 31, one day after Cleveland waived him.

By the numbers: Logue has played five NFL games, recording four tackles, half a sack and one pass defended.

What to watch: Logue's practice participation and any game-day elevation are the next roster markers.
