What happened: The Cleveland Browns waived running back Audric Estime on Monday. Cleveland previously signed Estime off the Vikings practice squad on Oct. 13.

Why it matters: The transaction opens a spot on Cleveland's 53-man roster as the team adjusts its backfield depth during the regular season. Estime heads to waivers, allowing other clubs to place a claim before he potentially becomes an unrestricted free agent.

What to watch: Estime will navigate the NFL waiver wire over the next 24 hours. If he clears waivers unclaimed, he will be free to sign with any team's active roster or practice squad.
