What happened: The Milwaukee Bucks moved their Oct. 23 home opener from 7 p.m. to a 3 p.m. afternoon tipoff. Deer District will follow the game with an outdoor viewing party at 7 p.m. as the Milwaukee Brewers host Game 1 of the World Series.

Why it matters: Shifting the opener to the afternoon prevents a scheduling conflict between Milwaukee's two major pro franchises on the same night. The Bucks also enter the afternoon matchup with every player available.

What to watch: Milwaukee tips off at 3 p.m. on Oct. 23 before Deer District transitions to the 7 p.m. World Series festivities.
