What happened: Chicago has run 31 more snaps inside the opponent's 20-yard line than any other club this season, while the Dallas Cowboys round out the top five with 78 red-zone plays, according to PFF. Buffalo (56.5%), Detroit (52.8%), and Dallas (49.1%) also post the league's highest percentages of drives ending in a score.

Why it matters: Chicago holds a 6-3 record while averaging 24.1 points per game and allowing 19.0, yet the Bears have converted only 9 of their 21 red-zone trips (42.9%) into touchdowns. Sustaining high snap volume inside the 20 without finishing drives in the end zone leaves points on the field compared to a Bills offense that led the NFL in Week 1 yards per play.

By the numbers: NFL red-zone plays (PFF): Chicago Bears 112, Arizona Cardinals 81, Buffalo Bills 79, Detroit Lions 79, Dallas Cowboys 78. Drive scoring rate (PFF): Bills 56.5%, Lions 52.8%, Cowboys 49.1%. Bears season profile: 6-3 record, 24.1 PPG, 19.0 PPG allowed, 9-for-21 (42.9%) red-zone TD rate.

What to watch: Chicago enters its next scheduled kickoff at 0-0 looking to turn its league-high red-zone play volume into a higher touchdown conversion rate.
