What happened: Chicago upgraded the first-year wing from probable to available ahead of Friday's road game against the Bucks. Fellow rookies Wilson, Sellers, and Awaka logged their first regular-season minutes on Wednesday while Chicago's No. 5 remained sidelined.

Why it matters: Getting the former Texas standout onto the floor gives Chicago an immediate perimeter option following a lopsided opening-night defeat. The franchise drafted the versatile forward in the first round in June after his collegiate Sweet 16 run.

By the numbers: Chicago enters Friday's contest at 0-1 after falling 135-92 at the Toronto Raptors on Oct. 21.

What to watch: Monitor how Chicago's coaching staff deploys Swain off the bench in his first regular-season appearance against Milwaukee.
