What happened: Cade Cunningham, who turned 25 in September, connected on a stepback 3-pointer without hesitation during 2026-27 regular-season action.

Why it matters: Cunningham's quick-trigger perimeter shot creation anchors the half-court offense in the opening week of the 2026-27 campaign. Pulling up cleanly from beyond the arc forces defenders to press up past the three-point line.

What to watch: Cunningham continues early-season play following Sunday's 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff.
