What happened: Caleb Downs was on the practice field with Dallas on Thursday. The rookie safety joined the Cowboys as the 11th overall pick out of Ohio State.

Why it matters: Dallas is 2-3 with the league's worst EPA per drive. Downs is part of a defense now led by Christian Parker with midseason help from Mike Pettine.

What to watch: Dallas faces Tampa Bay at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video. Downs' role will show in the Thursday night rotation.
