What happened: Columbus secured the extra point Saturday night behind multiple key stops from its goaltender, earning him the club's Save of the Game recognition.

Why it matters: The victory provides an early regular-season boost in net after the Blue Jackets signed Talbot to a one-year deal on Sept. 14.

What to watch: Columbus carries the overtime momentum into the upcoming week's regular-season slate.
