What happened: Forward Cameron Hughes has been activated and loaned to the Texas Stars. The roster move follows Hughes clearing waivers after going unclaimed across the league.

Why it matters: Clearing waivers preserves organizational depth without surrendering an asset on the wire. The transaction opens roster flexibility while positioning Hughes for regular playing time in the minors.

What to watch: Texas travels to face Chicago in weekend AHL play, where Hughes is eligible to return to the ice.
