What happened: Carolina placed forward Taylor Hall on injured reserve. The move creates an open roster spot heading into a five-game trip.

Why it matters: Hall is a veteran piece of Carolina's forward group early in the 2026-27 season. His week-to-week absence forces lineup shuffling through a condensed road stretch.

What to watch: A corresponding forward recall is the likely next move before the trip opener.
