What happened: Reggie Cannon scored the goal that secured the Rocky Mountain Cup and was named the HCA HealthONE Children's Hospital Man of the Match. It's the same Reggie Cannon who earned Man of the Match honors after a brace on Aug. 16, giving him two such awards inside two weeks.

Why it matters: The goal delivers rivalry silverware, and pairing it with individual recognition points to Cannon's growing weight in results down the stretch. The honor follows a run in which he's been directly involved in deciding matches rather than a bystander to them.

What to watch: Attention turns to the next league fixture as playoff positioning remains in play.
